face to face.
by
mathias hungler
face to face. For the past ten weeks I have been documenting the faces of my peers. Capturing the moments in between, pursuing my attempt to reestablish the face to face connection that is slowly disappearing. Through the use of my camera I am able to capture a moment, I can literally stop time but only for a brief second. In that moment, there is a connection which is slowly fading away. The days of having a conversation with the person next to you are slipping away. Instead, you are texting the person or using some other form of digital communication to relay a message. These photographs are my attempt to reestablish that connection.Even though many of these moments may last only a second, I believe they will go on past that second and conveying a message to my viewers.
